I'm still debating on whether or not I'm going to see Fahrenheit 9/11. Part of me really really really wants to revel in the genius that is Michael Moore, but another part of me wants to avoid the movie like the plague because I know it's going to put me in a depressed mindset for days if not weeks. I am very negatively effected by the news and current events lately, and I don't need any help inflaming my already smoldering liberal agenda. However, I feel that it is my duty as a good American to go see the movie, question my government, and learn more reasons why I should detest the Bush administration. Conflict....sigh.

I dunno, Tim, Michael Moore usually makes me feel hopeful. I think his main motivation in life is to stir the shit. Fortunately he's on the side of the good guys, but I think he just likes to expose lies and inconsistencies, and motivate people to do something about it. I saw him on the Daily Show last night and it put me in a really good mood; he said "the man" is on the way out.

i'm going to see it this weekend. i tried to watch Moore on the Daily Show last night but fell asleep. We ReplayTV it in the morning so i'll see it tonight.

That show last night was incredible. I thought Andrew Bird almost stole the show though, I was amazed at his creativity and songwriting - although he kinda sounded a lot like Thom Yorke. As for the Magnetic Fields, Stephin Merritt was wittier than I expected, and Claudia was hilarious. What was the song they did toward the end with both pacing around and Stephin singin "Yeah, oh Yeah" or whatever it was?

MagFields: They were totally hilarious. I missed Andrew Bird unfortunately. The song - which was so brilliant live - is "Yeah! Oh Yeah!" from 69 Love Songs, which I haven't listened to nearly enough. I'm listening to that song right now in fact.
As for F9/11 - I'm betting I'll leave the theater feeling pumped.
