THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

kerry

Wow. I set my expectations low and Kerry delivered high, high high.

AP: Kerry Vows to Restore 'Trust, Credibility' (that won't be hard)
Washington Post: Kerry Vows 'America Can Do Better' (ya think?!)

Seriously -- a president who fought for the country, who believes in crazy ideas like... oh I dunno... SCIENCE and FISCAL RESPONSIBILTY! That is out there! Americans of all stripes no longer have to plug their nose in the voting booth. John Kerry stands for everyone.*

* Except upper-crust right-wing ideologues who live in some sort of imaginary bubble. Those guys only stand for themselves, and they have led us astray.

Meanwhile, why not enjoy George W. Bush as interpreted by Will Ferrell? [via Oliver Willis]

I thought his speech was exhilarating and truly passionate. I too, applauded the science interest as well as halting american jobs going over seas.

There is something unsettling about China having all our patents and most of our production. We aren't all that close and I sort of fear what could come to fruition if nothing is done about it.

Speaking of jobs going overseas, did you Colin Powell says U.S. will help create jobs in Iraq. I wonder how that's gonna happen? Are they going to take our American jobs and give them to Iraqis?

ferrell = hilarity. though I'd think they'd get reamed for suggesting that Bush is anti-voter registration. probably not so funny to a lot of people.

Yes, but it might not be so far from the truth, the Republicans
benefit the most from the major chunk of the population that
    doen't vote.
