VIDBLOGS TAKE MANHATTAN

Vidblog_isight

Check this action out. First Minnesota bloggers invade the local airwaves, now the worldwide videoblog revolution busts into Manhattan cable access in realtime. Jay Dedman has a call-in show on Manhattan Neighborhood Network, but tonight he summoned a handful of vidblogger brethren to the teevee via iChat.

I don't know why this is so exciting. I mean, really it's like videoconferencing. But it feels like we're ape-people stumbling into a pile of polaroid cameras and cell phones, "Also Sprach Zarathustra" is blaring out of an iPod somewhere, and we just start freaking out.

Wanna know what else is blowing my mind? No, not Chloƫ Sevigny's mouth you dirty perv. I'm talking about blogtelevision.net. It's a brainscrambling stream of video plucked from blogs around the world. I just watched some weird stuff... a NASCAR crash, nutty commercials, an airborn squirrel. But this little gem made me laugh my fool arse right off.
