WALKER HANGOVER

Walker Art Center, the new monkey robot ice box

The Walker Art Center soireé was an exquisite ADD-inducing festival fantastique. Kim Gordon, Yoko Ono and perhaps Leonard Nimoy were on the scene, but I was too busy running into people I haven't seen in years (or hours). We got started a little late, being our natural tendency, but we squeezed every ounce of wow we could divine in that amazing space.

More details some other time, perhaps. Right now I'm hungover. Post-party Czech absinthe is the prime suspect – tres bohème!

Ever since I saw Moulin Rouge I've wanted to try Absinthe. After having viewed the clips above that show the water and fire rituals, I am even more intrigued. Bring on the Green Fairy!

Yaaay fairies!

Also, I heard today from a VERY reliable source, that Bjork was also at the party. Now that would have been an awesome celeb sighting in my book.

That's what Rex said too. Dang, I'd have loved to at least see Bjork or Kim Gordon.

Yeah, if you made it upstairs to the Target tent (which was gawdy as hell, but also extremely spacious), Bjork (with Matthew Barney) was sitting on the round white target circles for at least an hour.

Where'd you score the Absinthe?

Oh man. Wish I'd seen them. Did I say that already?

Absinthe -- it wasn't mine, but I guess you can order it online. Maybe greenfairy.org or google.
