Place your bid now for an ad on Rocketboom! I'd hoped to interview them about this when we were on vacation, but never found a good time. The especially innovative part of this is that RB will be making an original ad for the winner each day, running after the show.

If I hadn't spent all my money on the Virgin Mary in the grilled cheese sandwich, I'd be all over that!

I've bid up to around $6000 so far, but it's easy to bid things up this early in the auction. Any guesses on what it will end up going for? I remember reading that the ads may be worth as much as $8000/episode, so 5 ads = $40,000?

$6000, wow. i wanted to be the first to bid, just as a symbolic gesture.

andrew said in june 05 that a "reasonable assessment" of the value of Rocketboom is somewhere between $2000 and $10,000 a day/episode. they're traffic is significantly higher now, but i think they'd still be happy in that range. good luck with your ad, i was thinking of doing the same with Minnesota Stories.

One bid and 3 watchers so far for us!

A similar ad format would be a great fit for MNStories. We're figuring out that it's pretty much impossible to generate reasonable ad revenue from ads on the same page as a video that are not in the video itself.
