Hearing on Enemy Combatant Detentions

Scotusblog notes that the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals will hold an en banc hearing today on the Al-Marri case, which deals with matters of "enemy combatant" detention. We reviewed issues related to this topic in our 2004 program "Security and the Constitution."

Supreme Court to consider petitions in Second Amendment case

Scotusblog notes that the Supreme Court will consider petitions related to the Parker v. District of Columbia gun case on November 9th. The Parker case is featured in our documentary "Intent: Searching For Meaning In The Constitution" which will be airing on various PBS affiliates in November.

New web resource on Parker case

Alan Gura, Bob Levy, and other principals in the Parker v. District of Columbia gun case have established an on-line resource for information about the case. The site can be found here. The site contains motions and briefs from both sides in the litigation, as well as all the amicus briefs that have been filed in the course of the proceedings.
