NO GAY BIBLE
I should just retire this blog. All this time spent on blogging when I could be reading and commenting at BuzzMachine. Is there a BuzzMachineFilter? Jeff's got a huge list of next-generation blogging tool ideas, news that the Internet is now bigger than cable, and a nice long discussion about gay marriage and Bush which includes this absolute gem:
angellWell, I am unwilling to allow a bunch of gay judges redefine marriage for me. If they want to define a union for homosexuals, feel free, don't do it by destroying the definition that is 2000 years old. No gay Bible for me, thank you.
Conservative homosexual Andrew Sullivan is voting for Kerry now: The president launched a war today against the civil rights of gay citizens and their families. ... rather than keep the Constitution out of the culture wars, this president wants to drag the very founding document into his re-election campaign.

Sullivan was the lead attorney on the side of gay marriages in the Hawaii case, and he was just about to win the case (or just won it), when the Hawaiian legislature stepped in and changed the law that was the basis of the legal challenge, squashing gay marriage in that state.
In fact, I'm quite confident that the Hawaii case is how he got his start as a political pundit in the first place. Put him on the map, so to speak. Strange bedfellows, indeed.

This is way off-topic, but I just downloaded Firefox and your blog is way less spazzy in it than it was in IE. I don't know if you know this, but in Internet Explorer the text of your blog disappears sometimes. It was really annoying. Firefox is cool. That is all.

Yargh, I've got to check out that problem on a PC at work... well I'm glad Firefox rocks the motherload!
I had no idea that was Sullivan's background. I sure like his Bush criticism lately. On Blogging of the President he was kinda sneering and bitchy.

Dude, I am so wrong about that. I just realized this morning that it was Evan Wolfson, not Andrew Sullivan, that was the Hawaii lead attorney. I don't know what's wrong with my brain these days.
Sorry for the bad info!
