We ran into Justin Hall on the way to the Web Awards. Suddenly, we were engaged in an epic battle of phonecam vs. videocam:

It was bloody - organs flew, bone fragments darted into brick and bark. But it was cleansing, and our new cells feel fresh and electric. Check out Justin's article, Social Surveillance for Mobile Media.

  • SXSW Video is up. Lots of good stuff from Film [Jonathan Demme, Jim Moore of Bush's Brain, Richard Linklater and Jim Jarmusch] and Interactive [Moveon.org keynote, Trippi, Neil Pollack, Justin Hall & Friends on the future of blogging] and, yes, Little Richard.

    What up, Man of Mystery?

    That's me!
Always trying to foil you, "the Deadly Canadien of Cuteness."

No, seriously. If you get Lorika to work on her tan, you have a good halloween costume for next year.

True, true. I am a long-time admirer of Austin Powers. Where do I get a ruffled shirt?

But, this ain't no costume... mod foppery really is my modus operandi. BTW, the red polyster suit is from my stepdad's "back in the day" wardrobe.

Chuck, that's so awesome. Mod hand-me-downs are the best. I used to have a few choice pieces inherited from my mother. Unfortunately I wore them until they wore out. But I don't know what ever happened to "the dress". It was an amazing thing, a la Clementine, the scene where she's in Joel's memory from when he's four years old. Except this dress had moons and stars all over it. It had been in my playclothes bin when I was little, and then I lost track of it. Sigh.

Moons and stars, sweet. Maybe you ate it and it's now part of you.

Ahh Clementine. I think I need to see that movie again. So you gonna colour your hair? I need blacken mine up.

Hmmm, there's a thought. It's been two years already since my platinum blonde phase...and longer still since my fire engine red days. Something's gotta give.
