CITIZENS UNITED ANTI-CLINTON AD MAY RUN DURING 60 MINUTES; AD SEEMS TO VIOLATE CBS' S POLICY AGAINST "ADVOCACY ADVERTISING"
Media Matters for America Calls CBS on History of Inconsistent Enforcement of Advertising Policy

See also: CBS to air new "anti-Clinton" ad? Citizens United ad would apparently violate CBS's stated policy not to run "advocacy" ads on "controversial issues of public importance"

View the ad - which may as well end in "Terorrism is Clinton's Fault. Vote Bush/Cheney."

CONTACT CBS or call (212) 975-4321 and let them know you're appalled and why, and that you're boycotting their network and advertisers. I did.

I'm aghast. I don't know what to say. I am so angry right now. Where is the consistency? If cbs is going to selectively approve advocacy ads, then why state that they don't run "any advocacy ads of any sort". I cannot believe the blatant bias game here.

Oh, and this ad being anti-Clinton. I'm not surprised. Well, you know dubya needed SOMEONE to blame....

But did they air the ad?
I didn't see it, but I was fast-forwarding through the thing. There's no follow-up on Media Matters, either.

I heard on the O'Franken Factor on Air America that they
aired the commercial in the swing states mostly. I would think
we would be one of them, or have they officially abandoned us
to the wolves?

We're a swing state, but maybe it wasn't aired here.

How was the Clinton interview?

Posted by: Chuck at Jun 21, 2004 3:55:54 PM

Interview was pretty good. Don't think I'll be reading his book, though. Nothing ground breaking, but it sure was nice to see a President who can put a cogent thought together confidently without a script. A tearful moment when they showed Clinton video of an interview with his late mother. Said he'd never seen it before. Also, apparently some BBC reporter really pushed him with Lewinsky questions, and he uncorked on the guy.
