I whipped this up last night for Roundtable Media. This one-minute trailer focuses on blogs' impact on journalism and politics, since that will be the focus of Roundtable's Preview Forums. This was my first time playing with Sorenson Squeeze 4.0 - wow! It does an amazing job. PC users, try out the Flash popup version and let me know if you have any problems.

It's always nice when you can wake up, wipe the sleep from your eyes, shake off whatever bad dream you were having, and then realize that The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King: Extended Edition is at that... [Read More]

Nice! I'd say it's too short, but then again, for a one-minute single-issue-focusing trailer, it certainly does the trick (not that I didn't already want to see it, but you know what I mean)...

Thanks! I'm supposed to make a 5-10 minute trailer in addition to the shorty. Except, I think I need to go to bed.

Someday I'll get to see your film(s), and you'll get to see mine, and then Matt will fly us around in his private movie jet.

That was great Chuck. I agree that it's too short/makes me want to see more!

Oh, my God, that's ME!

For a split second.

It certainly got me excited and sweaty.

nice cuttin' cowboy.

It's like it was a commerical, like it teased me with little clips, thinking there was more to the story.
Like a movie preview or something.
i'm such a dork.

the piece starts with a fast, uptempo pace with the overlaping cuts and music and then slows down with a soft pretty landing with you holding your laptop.

for your longer version it would be interesting to reverse that structure and end with the rythmic montage and land on a hard musicial cue - then bam! BLOGUMENTARY.

see it or die!

Well, I delayed the release, I want to add a few more things to the book, make it more useful and practical, and re-edit it. So its currently not published. As well, I have 2 other books written, that need editing. Those other 2 books came entirely from blog entries, which is an interesting way to write a book over a year's time.

Thanks for keeping me in mind. I always try to get to your blog once a day or at least a few times a week. Best of luck on all your documentary goals.
