Woo-hoo! I think this will be in Sunday's paper... which will hopefully have a picture. The article now, clearly, has a picture.

Video blogger Chuck Olsen has a storytelling sensibility that keeps fans coming back to his website for a daily dose. Chuck Olsen's video blog points cameras at the far corners of Minnesota life.

Jon Tevlin, Star Tribune

They also list a whole bunch of local vlogs, which kicks ass. Now I have to get them to link those up online so it's actually useful. I hope this brings a whole lot of new people to Minnesota videoblogs. The Star Tribune has 650,000 readers on Sunday.

Awesome! I'll be curious to see how much your traffic increases! Let us know, would ya?

err, the article has apparently been removed.
maybe they put it up prematurely.

i dont expect all that much of a traffic bump actually.
newspaper articles are far outshadowed bt the likes of a Rocketboom or boingboing link, but we'll see!

Caption intentionally caveman speak? Star Tribune use a 2 incomplete sentences?

Congratulations Chuck! That was a great article. You rule, rock, and reign supreme! Cheers!

By the way, my first comment was upon seeing the link to the strib article. At that time, the link wasn't working. The second comment was after reading the article. Just wanted to make that clear. I'm not a freak.

You have become quite the "teacher's pet" of the local 'old school' media!

Posted by: Roger at Apr 2, 2006 11:32:54 PM

teacher's pet.... yeah, i think that about sums it up. although clearly, a teacher should've checked the grammar of the caption.

i actually did get a lot of traffic from the Strib article, especially for a Sunday. so hopefully some of those folks will stick around and get down with the vlogging action.

I filled out a feedback form for their web site requesting those MN vlogs be linked, but currently they're still static text without URL's. pretty stupid and useless in the web context. you'd think newspapers would have this sort of thing figured out by now.

Love to wake up on a Sunday morning, open up the newspaper and -- POW! There are my friends, staring back at me.

Sweet. Congrats on the well-deserved press.
