Happy 2007

The question flittering about the peoplesphere is "What are you optimistic about? Why?"

My answer stems from visiting New Orleans, like Robert Scoble. He visited a different ruined home in New Orleans than I did, but I think we were both humbled and optimistic after seeing the devastation first-hand. The home I visited was being ripped down to the studs by a wonderful church group from Missouri. They were working their butts off, happily, and for free. "The system" had failed the owner of this house. No flood insurance, no government money. [INSERT ANGER HERE]

One system never fails - the human spirit. When life turns to shit, good people will come out of the woodwork to help a brother out.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, prosperous 2007!
