OMFG

Iphonetv

I simply can't believe it. This is the biggest Apple "Holy Shit!" day in recent memory. AppleTV and iPhone, I need you bad. Also, I need a big new TV. Somebody better pay me a lot of money for some video, quick! I'm ready to sellout now, is anybody listening?

BUT... As revolutionary and exciting as the iPhone is – Mac OS on a phone! – I may holdout for the Nokia N95. It has a 5 megapixel camera, takes quality video, and has GPS.

MY FIRST MAC

007lisa

Wired News: 30 Years of Apple Products
This was the first Mac in our house, the Mac XL, aka "Lisa in Mac clothing." It weighed 700 pounds. It's hard to be cute when you're 700 pounds. It was really the Mac 128k that I first fell in love with. My step-uncle left his overnight. I stayed up all night playing with MacPaint. It's the closest feeling to magic I'd ever experienced.

(Well... until I discovered the "magic in my pants.")

ONCE YOU GO MAC...

Onceyougomac
...you never go back. [Quicktime, 2.6 MB]

Mac OS X Tiger is available April 19 29. I'm particularly excited about .Mac sync and the new iChat AV. Oh, and the sorely-needed iCal 2. And of course Safari RSS. Umm... Quicktime 7 with H.264. Yeah. All that stuff.

MAC OS X SECURITY FLAW

Hey Mac-heads, please read this and follow the instructions in Jay Allen's comment thread. It's also boiled down here. This exploit is what we're hoping to prevent.

Check out the other MacWorld 04 announcements especially GarageBand. Liberry Boy, you should hold off on a world of Cubase pain and check out GarageBand instead. I can't wait to get my tiny hobbit hands on it.
