Yay!!! I'm so glad that you finally got some press for all your garden efforts. I just had my very first home grown spinach and lettuce salad and it was very good!

Great blog and congrats on being in the paper. I think more and more people are starting to grow their own food these days. I have been growing vegetables in a community garden in Illinois for the first time and it has been a great experience(I have been really surprised at how many young people have plots there as well). I haven't made the commitment to not buy any vegetables but I haven't had to purchase any from a grocery store this summer. Everything has either come from my garden or the local farmers market. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys - sorry it took me so long to reply!

I am also happy to see so many people young and old taking up the hoe! And, I haven't yet been able to completely give up buying the produce yet, but we are dang close.
