No fuss. No muss. Just good music with crappy still camera sound.

Lorika and I have been big fans of Thievery Corporation for about 5 years. It's sorta chic international lounge jazz, or something. But the live show is mind-blowing, way more energetic and groovy than I expected. I danced my fat ass off. The bass turned my organs to jello, and they remain in that state to this day. Get your groove on at Eighteenth Street Lounge Music.

dvinfo.net? or dvxuser.com?

What's his name/username?

I'll probably be getting a DVX100a within a few months.

This is a great addition to your last live music video.

Dooser: dvxuser.com - his name is Rob Myers and he's made videos for Thievery Corporation. You're getting a DVX100A? Let me say i'm insanely, homicidally jealous. :-) i can only dream, for now.

adam - glad you dug it even with crap sound.

WOW great video. I want to be at that show so bad. I have been into these guys for a bit now, I think their music is amazing. That show looked so good.

I used to read DVXuser but I never signed up. I have a DVX100, and let me tell you it is one of the best things I own. It eats my GL2 for lunch, and then some. I was thinking of posting everything in widescreen 24P from now on.

Man you know some cool people.

Yeah - do it!
My next vlog, ideally, is short-form doc stuff in widescreen 24P.

So that Soundcity Hooligans vid, was that 24P? That looked really good. even with the foggy lens, looked pretty cool. Dreeeeeeamy.

From what I've read I'm holding out for the DVX100A even though the 100s are cheaper... I want that oversampling, the new gamma settings, and the 24P focus assist. Too bad I'm broke. :-)

The focus assist would be nice, but you can get pretty good with the focus ring, even though the viewfinder and lcd screen suck. I will wait to get the new HD DVX camcorder next year.

I shot the Soundcity thing with the standard 30frame settings. It just turned out kinda neat with the fogged lens. I am still kinda stuck on getting the pulldown right for the 24frame footage. I never really use it that much. I have taped tons of stuff with it, but never edited. And my widescreen would just be bars and cropping I guess.

Must head back to DVXuser.com

I enjoyed the video. The audio could of used a little tampering.
I own the DVX100 and I am super stoked. I also have heard from panasonic that there isn't much change up to the 100a. I think it could be compared to the Xl1/Xl1s design. I opted to go to the 100 and wait till the next best thing comes out. But I am a 24p believer!

The HVX (HD DVX) is gonna be 'round 10,000$. No way I'm spending that.

Just ordered the DVX100a tonight. Now I gotta get that Powerbook so I can actually do some editting. It might revolutionize my vlog.
